2 Person 9 Hole Match Play
May 24-25, 2025
Each team will play Saturday and Sunday regardless if they win their First match.
Do not sign up if you can not play both days!
Open to first 16 teams that sign up
Format: While this is a 9 hole match play event, each team will play 36 holes even if you lose your first-round match. Play will be conducted as follows:
- The 16 teams were randomly seeded 1-16
- Players receive 90% of their handicap. For each match, the player with the lowest playing handicap plays off zero strokes and the other players receive the difference between their own playing handicap and that of the player with the lowest playing handicap.
- For the first 9 holes, there are 8 matches. The winners will move to the championship bracket.
- The 8 teams that lose their first-round match will initially go into the consolation bracket.
- The second 9 holes on Saturday will consist of 4 matches (8 teams) in the championship bracket and 4 matches (8 teams) in the consolation bracket.
- The 4 winning teams in the championship bracket will play for the championship on Sunday. The two winning teams from the first match Sunday will play for the championship on the 2nd nine and the losers play for 3rd and 4th.
- The 4 teams that lose both matches Saturday will enter the loser's bracket for Sunday play. They will play an 18 hole 2 person shamble with the low scorer being crowned the best loser!
- The 8 teams that go 1-1 on Saturday will move to the consolation bracket. On Sunday, these teams will compete in 18 hole four ball stroke play. Prizes will be awarded to 1st and 2nd in both gross and net.
