US Open Challenge

Saturday/Sunday June 15 and/or 16, 2024

 

 

Eligibility:    This event is open to all members and players who keep their handicap at the University of Maryland Golf Course.

 

Sign Up:        Players may sign up the day of the event.

 

Format:          You will choose someone playing in the US Open as your partner.  You will play in a fourball format with the Tour player you choose, using their Sunday round regardless if your score is regarded on Saturday or Sunday.  You do not have to pick your player until Sunday, but your pick must be recorded by the golf shop prior to the player teeing off on Sunday. 

 

Play will be from the:

Gold tees for men (54 & Under) 

White tees (Optional) for senior men (55 and over) 

Red tees for seniors 70 & Older

If Age plus handicap equals 95 you may play from the Red/Green Tees

** Players may choose to play a longer yardage but you cannot move up to a shorter tee (i.e. someone 70 can choose to play the White tees).

 

Players receive 100% of their handicap

 

Entry Fee:      $10 per player per day.

 

Tee Times:    Players will make their own tee times for this event.
