Eligibility:    This event is open to all members and players maintaining their handicap at the University of Maryland Golf Course.

 

Sign Up:        All players must sign up by 5:00 pm Thursday, April 4, 2024

 

Format:          2-person event.  Prior to teeing off, the team must designate one of the players as the A Player and the other as the B Player.  Player A’s score will count as the team score on holes 1-4-7-10-13-16, player B’s score will count as the team score on holes 2-5-8-11-14-17 and on the remaining 6 holes (3-6-9-12-15-18) the scores of both players count.  All birdies and net birdies count! On the 6 holes where you are not the player of record, if you (On 12 holes the team will have one score and on 6 holes they will count both scores).  Handicap strokes are awarded as they fall on the score card. 

Play will be from:

Gold tees for men 59 & Young

White tees for Men (60 - 69) 

Red Tees for Men 70 & Over

Red/Green Combination for Men whose age equals 95 or higher

Green tees for women. 

 

Players receive 90% of their handicap.

 

                        Entry Fee:      $20 per team.

 

Tee Times:    Teams may play at any time but must play with another team in the tournament.

 

Prizes:            25% of the field will receive golf shop credit in awards.
